6 Superpowers Every Empath Possesses (and the 3 Things That Hold Us Back)
We’re real life X-MEN and women who are here to help heal humanity. Here’s how we do that.
1. Vision
When awakened, empaths are capable of seeing the symbolism in situations. We can look at what’s happening in our bodies, our businesses, and the world and understand the deeper meaning.
This bird’s eye view allows us to disengage from the minutiae of the situation and address the real issues that need attention.
We make change by being visionary leaders.
When we get responsible for our gifts (I like to call them superpowers) and take a stand for our future, we bring much-needed harmony back to this world.
We sometimes feel as if our ability to see the good in others makes us vulnerable. However, this powerful gift, when used with discernment, is a rare and useful tool. Consider developing your skills as an empath if you’re struggling with being taken advantage of.
2. Intuition
Everybody has intuition but the gut feelings of empaths are quite literal. — Colette Davenport
In her book, “Anatomy of the Spirit,” Caroline Myss, Ph.D, says the solar plexus chakra (manipura) is the power center that holds our self-esteem and self-respect.
It contains our “survival intuition,” our sense that protects us when we are in physical danger and alerts us to negative energy and actions of other people. We violate this energy when we disregard our gut instincts.
Our ability to receive intuitive guidance requires us to have a strong sense of self and respect for that self.
Myss continues, “Equally significant is the role of self-esteem in healing and in maintaining a healthy body.”
Consequently, when we lack self-esteem and self-respect, our relationships lack certainty, our intuition is off, and our lives feel as if they are out of our control.
Mastering our energy and emotions, along with trust and respect for ourselves, are some of the keys to being a badass empath.
